Thinking about writing a guide for Tinder

2200-2300 matches, with ability for unlimited swipes because I pay for premium. Pretty high response rate. Not the most matches, but I usually surprise a lot of guys when they look at my Tinder.

I have a number or good, original lines that are unused and have a ridiculously high response rate. I’m surprised none have ended up shared on Reddit. Probably will only share half of these.

Also pretty talented at reading a bio and then coming up with a good pick-up line based on it. It’s a skill. And I can’t count the number of times I’ve gotten some variation of “10/10 line” or “hahahaha teXT” — that leads to more.

I think I’m probably going to write up a guide, and post it for free. And then I might take on some apprentices and offer video, real-time instruction for a small monthly fee. Not going to completely sell out, but would be nice to have a little extra cash in exchange for helping some people out. When I thought about who my target audience is for such a guide, I immediately thought of the Wall Street Oasis community.

Just on here looking to gauge interest. Yes or no?

It's off-topic so why not. Also 2200 matches is good if you're a guy. Not a big deal if you're a girl cause every guy power swipes.

I have a feeling that no matter what lines are used, ultimately comes down to looks.

Let me rephrase it, would you swipe right on a 4/10 because her bio was very clever? I bet you'd still swipe right on a 9/10 with no bio and just two pics....

The way the world works. That being said, no doubt clever lines can help.

Not OP but you should read up on how Tinder matchmaking works. TLDR all the hotties have a higher rating, so when you swipe right on them (like every other guy will) you will show up. If those hotties swipe left on you (this will happen to almost every guy, not saying YOU) your "score" will drop and then will show up to all the whales as you described. I don't know if they changed it but I'm 99% sure this is how it works. There's too many guys on Tinder too so that doesn't help. Maybe our Tinder God @Isaiah_53_5" can chime in as well.

I generally agree with this sentiment:

"Zafrynex" Guide for tinder is 2 words : Be hot.

I think the OP is focused on marketing and highlighting certain parts of yourself that make you appealing to chicks, or being clever to start a conversation.

That is not really my MO. As @Zafrynex" said, 'be hot'. That should pretty much take care of everything. Work on yourself, get where you want to be in life. If you have hobbies, do them and throw in some pictures of you in action. Girls want a fun, attractive, in shape guy and it really behooves any guy not to strive to get to that point. Tinder or any other site is just a window into your life, so rather than focusing on how to 'be clever', I would recommend the approach of working on yourself to be 'hot'.

Put in the time in the gym, get some sort of style, and be the best version of yourself.

"Henri Poincaré" I am shite at Tinder -- I think the biggest thing is that I don't have a lot of pictures of myself.

Are you that Vampire MD who took all of the mirrors out of the office? lol

What’s your secret - meth / coke ? Coffee enemas? What happens if you pass a mirror anyway - does it burn real bad or something ...

You’re not getting lots of matches / messages cause of your quirky lines. You’re killing it cause you give off an ALPHA vibe on your tinder. If you could teach guys how to be ALPHAs that’s what would actually be helpful

I’ve heard girls like tall guys but I’m 5’6 and still kill it cause girls walk into a room and immediately can tell I’m in charge. That’s what they want - not puns that incorporate their name

Lol I think I was 5’6 in 5th grade. I can just picture a little kid pounding his chest like Tarzan. That you mate?

Also though, if you’re posting pictures somewhere to gain attention, clicks, or interest, it will help if you know a few basic rules of photography.

First of all, the opposite sex is designed to crave symmetry. Facial symmetry in models is evident. Sometimes these models don’t always look perfect in person, but the photographer knows how to frame the picture at the right angle to capture some good lines.

Most camera phones are legit these days, so not having a good camera should not be an excuse. Lighting is essential. Also, utilize the rule of thirds as much as you can.

The rule of thirds will make your pictures look better in a way that is somewhat indescribable to the viewer. You can correct some photos by cropping; others need to be correctly shot at the time using the rule of thirds.

You can break the rule of thirds, but it will naturally cause the eye to be drawn to other parts of the picture.

Think of a passport photo versus a headshot done by a professional photographer. The passport photo just captures the data of your face basically. With the guy/girl that does headshots every day for a living, they are usually going to split the nose and middle of the face in the first 1/3 on the left or last 1/3 on the right. It is more visually appealing. But, you have to consider what you want to emphasize in the photo and employ the rule of thirds.

Let’s consider another example - the landscape shot. I know many photographers cringe at the endless shots of the ocean or mountains split 50/50 in the shot. Water line straight across the middle as if the person thought they were being ‘precise’ to make it even. You really should be seeking to frame either 2/3 sky on top and 1/3 ocean or beach at the bottom or 1/3 sky, etc. Even if you do diagonal photos or something, I think it stilll looks a lot better if you get the object of the photo in the crosshairs of the 1/3 splits (there are 4). These four points should usually be objects that you intend to emphasize. I’ve seen countless chicks use a camera or phone with the 1/3s display for years without knowing what it was or how to use it.
