This is what's wrong with this country/economy

A homeless man, with a very skilled resume, had to stand on a street corner handing out his resume, literally begging for someone to come hire him. It's sick. People were praising it on my LinkedIn feed, but I feel sick to my stomach wondering why this should be the case. If you work hard, learn all you can, you should be set. Nothing else matters. But I'm sure this kid lost out to people with pedigree from their family or school. Granted, Texas A&M is pretty good, but obviously it's still a state school. This is not how things should work.
