Turn down FT offer for no alternative?

Would you consider me mentally impaired for saying FK it, turn down an analyst role at GS/MS/JPM, graduate without a job and find something else instead? Consulting seems kinda unserious and like a pain to recruit for, but to offer good WLB...

Hear me out -

  1. Done a couple of internships. I am good at the work but I honestly don't find it interesting (also applies to what I saw analysts and associates doing). Too much time-consuming personal preferences from seniors and too little critical thinking involved

  2. Hate (a) missing sleep for health reasons and (b) not being able to make weekend plans

  3. Care a bit about money, but not too much. I come from a modest background but I don't have any real large materialistic needs (guess this will change once having kids etc. tho)

  4. Have something really special with a girl going on and taking the FT role would require relocating. Would prob be impossible to do long-distance working FT IBD

  5. ******* analyst training program would kill the summer - 7 weeks the website says - WTF is this? Do you at least get paid for it?
