Incredible, and good for him. The numbers that are being thrown around at this point are just mindblowing - and to think he has basically a deferred, indefinite option on post career contract that eclipses his on the field earnings.. wild.

Side note - this is basically buying the Tom Brady brand, with the kicker being he'll announce marquee games for them throughout the season right? Have to assume that he will work on programming, exclusive content, shows and generally be trotted out whenever Fox needs something. He's probably one of the few that's worth paying this much... but at some point, these rights deals have to tap out.

Its like Tony Romo, who is an excellent commentator as well. His earnings well exceed that of his football contracts. CBS paid serious money for him and honestly he does great commentary. I see Brady being the same way. Both are able to effectively communicate to the audience on plays that are happening or have happened.

I honestly thought Brady would go into politics or enter the corporate workforce (he interned at Merrill Lynch in college).

He doesn't seem like the kind of person who would enjoy talking about other people for two hours.
