Touchpad elevator buttons

Office buildings are starting to adapt to touchpad elevator buttons where you press which floor you’re going to instead of up or down.

I have been struggling with them. Sometimes I forget which elevator I am supposed to get in and sometimes I get in the wrong elevator that I can’t get out of until it goes down and up again.

How do you guys find the new technology?

I always end up accidentally double-pressing the first digit of the floor I want, and have to wait for 5 seconds before the system lets you re-enter the correct floor digits. First world problems.

"GoldenCinderblock" sounds like one of those dreams where your teeth fall out

I hardly ever have dreams, usually once every three years. But, if I do have a dream, its one of these horrible teeth falling out nightmares and I wake up very glad to have my teeth.

I have those teeth falling out dreams like all the time as a control freak. The last one I had the other day, only my front top teeth came out. But you know the car keys with push button start where they still have the actual key hidden in there that you can take out and manually start the car if needed? But it's hidden otherwise? Well dude, my front teeth fell out and they were attached to a Volvo key. Don't know what to make of that.

My graduate school was in a high rise where you scanned a fob and then touched the screen for the floor. For a week or two I'd jump in an open elevator without scanning because I'd see an open elevator and then stand there for a while until I realized what I did. You learn pretty quickly though.
