yeah I saw that! However, I have been to programs/events with other firms in which although there was no super, at the final day they implied interviews (post resume drop/hirevues) were highly likely and our resumes would be coded as invitees to these recruitment events within the applicant pool (and to show for it, I have seen many of those who attended those programs later join the firm at fairly high rates, also with some of the panelists mentioning they attended said event). Can't say this with certainty or with regards to UBS, but I think participation in this will serve well in making it past screening

when did they say there would be superdays associated with the program? Might have missed it

the photo and statement things were really cool!

they mentioned superdays towards the end of the week (on Wednesday, actually). they plan to reach out to everyone to re-rank their spots (some rising sophomores asked for wealth and asset management, for example, when only global banking and s&t were available). then, virtual interviews will be over the next few weeks. once the interviews are done, they committed to following up with every candidate "very (or fairly) quickly" - i imagine this means the same day or no more than 24 hours after.

I think you'll absolutely know by the time school starts but I think you'll most likely know by the end of June or early July (unconfirmed with sources but I say this because that's when other firms open their applications - the point is that they want to take you off the market before other firms get to you and they want to force you to take their offer and not really have time to compare it, bc this lowers the likelihood of reneging). I don't think the offer will be exploding so you can still see if other firms will accelerate you via your network - I don't know if you'll have enough time. When they send interview days and times, I would recommend taking a date when you know you'll be prepared - don't do it too late to draw it out and psych yourself out but don't take the first one available. Try to give yourself about 2-max 3 weeks between now and the interview to prep.

What I want to figure out is their offer rate is from this program (though it's only the second year - when it's in person they might start doing superdays on site at the end of the week) because they have a high diversity headcount in general. Also, they were literally giving us examples of some questions/possible answer approachess on the last day so as long as you have a strong why ubs/why ib (reiterate interest based on the info given all week about the business lines and stuff they do in the community)/how ubs and ib correlate with your long term goals and maybe questions about the market/a deal (find a ubs one)/two companies that should merge/valuation and the best times to use which method/accounting statements linking, it should be good.

sure no problem! on thursday and friday they figured that everyone was waiting to ask about the interview process and accelerated superday timeline so they tried to do a q&a and ran out of time (they continued for a prolonged period of time on Friday). on Thursday jopwell came in to discuss overlooked tidbits when conducting a virtual interview. before that, ubs spoke about the work of their optimum foundation (their philanthropy arm - it was quite impactful and even more so than most banks in that their initiatives were very measured and data-driven, and they took clients on trips to their locations for a week so they could see their monetary impact. the firm also seems to use a lot of analyst and employee input as they are building up those volunteer programs within the NYC/tri state area).

for Friday, they had the q&a about the application process where they clarified, among other notable points, that sophomores could only apply for global banking and/or global markets (s&t). they didn't mention whether those people can only interview with one division. a very inspiring associate who played basketball for Harvard spoke about his path out of his neighborhood and managing personal wealth using guidance that UBS provides their clients. the talent team spoke about ways to effectively build one's personal brand and they rounded the day out with a presentation about navigating corporate America as a diverse leader from very influential IB and PWM MDs. all in all, it was an amazing week and I'm definitely even more excited about the firm! wish it was longer and met some absolutely inspiring people who I'll definitely hear great things about and run into as executives in the future. hope this helped.

They want you to succeed in whatever you decide to do and there's a huge advantage in interviewing this early, so I hope the info in this message helps with the behaviorals.

yes this helped a lot, thank you. Wish I was able to attend these sessions. So do we have to do something special in the meantime or just wait until apps open up and they’ll know we where in the program?
