doesnt Make sense. if it was an alien civilisation 100-1000 years ahead of us technologically, I don't think they'd need to get so close to "warships" without making contact.

I read on article earlier this week linked from realclearscience that debunked this video. I'm not educated enough in the subject matter to say either way, but it reads to me like those conspiracy theories about the moon landing or 9/11 or the flat Earth that sound super convincing to laypersons until someone with proper education/knowledge easily debunks the conspiracy.

"Next we see a more recent video, the green flashing triangle. Initially very impressive, it shows a triangular shaped object moving across the sky, filmed with a night vision device from a Navy ship. But then you notice the flashing light that, as I demonstrated in a video posted at Metabunk, perfectly matches the pattern of blinking lights on a commercial plane like a Boeing 737. A little research reveals that some night-vision devices have a triangular aperture (see my analysis at Metabunk). When the device is slightly out of focus then a plane flying overhead looks exactly like this flying triangle. The case was effectively closed when other triangles in the scene were identified as stars. Yet we are told 'the Pentagon admits it doesn’t know what in the world it is.' It’s pretty obvious what it is once you match the UAP blinking triangle to that of commercial airliners."

Yeah I saw this too. It’s essentially a camera error. I really would like to believe in the idea of aliens visiting earth, but the real explanations for these videos are always more mundane. There is a great (semi dated but relevant) section of James Randi’s book Flim-Flam! on UFOs and our ability (even government officials) to jump to the wrong conclusions.

I don't know man...as time goes on I just instinctively think everything that comes out of the US government is utter horseshit. If they're going to lie about inflation, weapons of mass destruction, NSA spying, and CIA torture blacksites, then why not make shit up about aliens?

I don't even understand the premise of secrecy around aliens--if we've actually made contact, why would the government try to keep it quiet? The only explanation commonly put forth is that the public couldn't handle the reality and would riot or something, which doesn't really seem like it makes sense to me. I can see why a narrow few people might prefer to use knowledge of aliens to their own benefit, but I just can't see a 70+ year, ongoing government conspiracy to keep alien contact secret.

as if aliens so advanced would allow us to catch them snooping on us. it would be like the first explorers in North America observing the native Americans through a telescope, we wouldnt comprehend being spied on with technology we hadn't conceptualised yet. or like humans keeping monkeys in a zoo, do they even know they're trapped in there?

Anyone not believe in UFOs? I haven’t seen enough proof yet.

Let's be honest here, an alien invasion is still a better scenario than living in pods and eating bugs like those genderfluid liberals want you to.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

This has been known and more or less confirmed for well over a decade.

Most sightings that people have are those kinds of sightings that can usually be explained.

Are you trying to say "sightings that can't usually be explained"?

Gee...first contact with aliens who will carry a message to our leaders and stress things like global governance, battling climate change, and #BuildingBackBetter sure sounds awfully fucking convenient.
