UNC Bars Race from Admission Essays

Really interesting move by UNC. They know they can't practically stop applicants from mentioning race in their essays nor admissions officers from factoring race into their decisions but they are certainly trying to uphold the spirit of SFFA vs Harvard.  Think its pretty bold decision by them tbh and sets a bar for other universities to overtly declare their compliance with the spirit of the ruling.  Is UNC only doing this because they were explicitly involved in lawsuits?  Will Harvard now follow them?  Will other universities?
