urgent help needed!!! college major???

I will be attending college as a freshman pretty soon, and I am planning to transfer to a target school after spending two years at my local college. After doing some research, I realized that not all target schools offer the same major. For example, vanderbilt only offers economics but not finance. Some schools only offers economics major in BA but not BS, vice versa. I don't have a specific target school that I want to attend so I plan to apply for multiple schools. What should I major in for the first two years so that I won't have any trouble transferring credits when it comes to transferring school.

NYCslick So should I declare my major during my freshman year? I want to transfer after my first year, but my chances are low. Most schools look at your high school GPA and test scores if you transfer after the first year, but my grades aren't that well.
