Verizon Phones (Blackberry)
Right now, I have AT&T, but my contract is about to be over. I'm on a family plan and my brother wants to switch to Verizon because he can get a 20% discount on the plan through his school.
Its time that I get a smartphone. For those of you with Verizon, what phone do you have and is the service good? I heard that they're coming out with a new blackberry (Blackberry Niagara 9630). My contract is over in about a month.
I'm a student and I have a Blackberry Curve. Verizon is far superior to AT&T and others especially in Indiana and Cali.
I'm trying to figure out which plan would be cheaper (AT&T w/ student discount or Verizon w/ brother's employee discount). Have you heard anything about the new Blackberry for Verizon? I think its called the Blackberry Tour 9630 now.

I currently have an expiring Verizon contract and I am weighing my options. I have considered going to AT&T to get an iPhone.
I enjoyed the service I got from Verizon but I seemed to occasionally drop calls in my hometown. They were very good about replacements etc. but they don't have many great phones other than the Bold which in my opinion isn't as good as the iPhone.
How do you guys feel about the iPhone? What is AT&T service like?
I have AT&T now and the service is great. I've been using a free phone because my last phone stopped working after water damage so I'm waiting for the contract to expire. BTW, Verizon doesn't have the bold. It just has the Blackberry Curve and Storm (sucks). I was thinking about getting the iphone too, but I'm not sure. Since I already have an ipod touch, I thought it'd make more sense to get a blackberry so I can use both since its much easier to use the internet on the iphone/ipod touch than the blackberry.
Verizon has buy one blackberry get one free right now.
I have the curve, it works great, my roommate has the thunder and he likes it a lot too, really depends on if you want a full keyboard or not.
Yeah, sorry I meant Storm not Bold. Supposedly, the new iPhone comes out July 17th. It is supposed to have better RAM, 32GB, sideways keyboard, copy/paste, rubber back etc.
