Very Opinionated Coworker

I'm home on this Fri night typing this because 6+ months of buried anger has finally risen to the top. Just got back from work and feel the need to rant.

I started with my analyst class last summer. There's another Analyst who's very vocal when it comes to his opinions - he's always discussing people with others. He's been consistently talking with my Associate about my job performance, even though we are both analysts at the same level. Well it turns out some of those comments aren't exactly nice. My Associate pulled me into a room this week and voiced concern about my job performance - even though I've had no complaints from other superiors. What would you do in this case?

tl;dr - coworker talks too much, I got backstabbed

Print up a huge sign that says "You are a douchebag" and get to work early and tape it to his monitors. Make sure you use lots of duct tape and wear gloves while you put it on and make it. The douchebag will have a hard time knowing who did it because they talk shit about everyone.

Take him out drinking and be all buddy buddy and shit and then let him crash at your place. Make sure nobody you know knows. Lock his ass up in a closet and have him be your Excel bitch and 6 years. Maybe father children with him. Restrict his internet access, obviously. Let him sleep exactly 6 hours a night and watch an hour of Nick Canon's Wildin Out every evening.

I thought the direction this was going was to take him to Dorcia's, then back to your place with plastic all over the couch, put on your poncho, take out your ax, listen to some...you get the idea.
