Very worried about an encounter at a bar
Was at a bar in midtown west yesterday after work. went solo just to catch a vibe and see if any attractive girls pull up.
Then this older dude sits next to me, was friendly so we chat it up and turns out to be a cool guy. Fucking quirky but seemed genuinely nice and we were laughing our asses off at the stories.
We exchange contact info (numbers) and say our goodbyes.
I then do some searches and see that the guy went to prison for attempted rape of young boys.(im a vp for context).
What the actual fuck lol. Has anyone ever had something similar happen...what do you think of this and what would you do.

Was getting new flooring so I went to Lowe's to pick out the flooring material. Start chatting with another customer who is doing a flooring project. The random customer starts giving me some good advice, seems knowledgeable so I ask if he'd be interested in picking up my paid project.
Dude asks me standard questions around sq. footage, address, pricing, if we have pets/kids, tools, the basic stuff. Then he asks if I live near a school.
I thought the back-to-back kids/school question was strange so I googled him when I got home. Turns out he's on a list and can't go anywhere near schools...
He had very competitive pricing though.
What exactly are you worried about? Did you give him your address or something?
Just block his number and forget about it. Why would this have any impact on you? No one expects you to do a background check before you talk to a stranger
I was in midtown west and had a drink at the bar.. Next day I was sick as hell and given all the sketchy AF people there I honestly considered maybe someone drugged me.. stay away from midtown west it's a disgusting place.
