We can’t leave Americans behind in Afghanistan

8/31 deadline or not.

We must get everyone out.

No doubt. the question is if we will go back for any Afghans that aided us.

Nice.  I don't know why anyone wants people who collaborated with a foreign occupying regime, no matter how noble or right that occupying force was.

Get the soldiers and honest contractors (in menial jobs) back.  The NGO/State Dept trash who tried to indoctrinate a country shouldn't receive much sympathy after wasting our money.

Not to mention that the anti-Taliban forces who helped us were largely warlords, drug traffickers, or garden variety Islamic militants who just happened to be opposed to the Taliban. Great people.

Shouldn't be a problem.  Estimated roughly 10,000 still there, evacuating roughly 20,000 a day now.  I'm sure some in the poppy trade or arms will stay.

I'm not the brightest with numbers but something seems wrong about what you just wrote.

I happen to agree with Romney that both Americans and Afghans should be evacuated.  Not everyone agrees with that.  There is enough air capacity to get every American out by August 31 that wants to leave.  The question is whether or not all of them can get to the airport.  I would suspect that the deadline will be extended, but it is good that pressure to extend that is being applied.
