WFH Chair Recommendations
Have a pretty good WFH set-up, but could use a chair upgrade as its a little old and clunky. Thinking of spending part of my stipend on it.
No real parameters just not crazy expensive or too big.
Anyone have any good recommendations?
Not too sure about gaming chairs as they use fake leather
Wow guess I haven't been in the chair market for a while, not going to spend $1k for a Herman Miller or Steelcase.
Anyone have this MyoChair or thoughts on it? https://www.autonomous.ai/office-chairs/ergonomic-computer-chair
I bought it over a month ago but it has yet to ship...
I just picked up a used Steelcase Leap v2 for $250 off FB Marketplace. Saw a number of different Herman Millers (Mirra 2, Aeron) available for $200-$350 at the same time that looked pretty decent.
Great idea, I’ll definitely take a look
steelcase Amia.
God that's nice, wish I could expense that bad boy.
Get a standing desk and save the money on a chair!!
Someone on here recommended I get this, I thankfully maxed out my FSA and got a dr's note to expense it. It's amazing

Get dr_mantistoboggan_MD or someone to write you a note and you're golden. It can be like that Seinfeld episode where they get a note from Jerry's dentist for physical therapy massages.
Just bought this... Will let you know if it helps my lower back/hip issues!
How much was the chair you got? Have you compared it with other chairs?
I love it, I took it to my parents’ since I didn’t want to keep dismantling it and moving it back and forth, and I regret not just doing that since my old chair sucks so much. I will say though, the version I got had a pole that was too long (I’m around 6ft for reference) so I had to get one of the shorter/middle pole length options (I’m not sure how long it was).
So this is expensive, but I find the Herman Miller embody chair to be excellent. It is solid for taller people (although not sure if tall for you is a bit above 6 ft or you are talking about a 7 footer) and has a fair bit of adjustments you can make. I prefer this chair to the aeron. Keep in mind that you can’t adjust the position of the lumbar support in the embody chair, and it has a higher back so if spending that much on a chair I’d sit in them (preferably work in one for a day if at all possible).
great post. thanks dude
I looked at Herman Miller Aerons on the secondary market and found a few around ~$400 but went with the one below. This was recommended by a couple people and marketed as an Aeron knock-off. Super comfortable and got on sale for $200, also has adjustable arms. We'll see how it holds up but happy with my purchase so far.

Hello! Thank you for the useful information for me!
I got one from SecretLab around a year ago and it works perfectly well. So far no wear and tear signs.
Haworth Soji could be a mid-tier option depending on your budget.
