I am interested in intelligent investors. So far, I have read these:

1. the big short 2. Rich dad poor dad

the classic “finance influencer” books

Probably my favorite finance book. Haven't read anything else that gets into the weeds about what is going on in a transaction while also being extremely readable. I picked up a few practical points in debt structuring just from reading this book. It's difficult to understand concepts such as Holdco debt vs. opco debt / structural subordination, cross collateralization, fradulent transfers, etc. unless you experience it or read about a real life situation.

Bump.

I really want to get into the nitty gritty of M&A, the negotiations and such

I took a Columbia University M&A class last year, taught by some of the MBA professors and this was one of the recommended books. I have some other ones at home I forget but can update later.
