Being in the best shape of my life (health wise )
Heal yeah. Physical health is a key component of mental health imo. Anyone who thinks being in shape is overrated needs to get fucking shredded.
As someone who was once fat, being in shape makes life easier. Being in elite shape is as close a cheat code that you can actually control as there is in life.
Being in shape cannot be faked. Sure, plastic surgery exists, but the confidence in knowing your body is in great shape due to the hard work you put in is a confidence booster like no other. Being in shape is simple, but it’s not easy.
damn, you say a positive thing and people give you MS for it
They hate us cuz they ain’t us
This year is a little different for me in that my dad had cancer surgery. He is about 80 but he was a very good candidate for the surgery due to his health profile. I am thank full the surgery was successful and that he is the road to recovery.
Glad to hear he is on the recovery path. Godspeed papa financeabc.
The day we beat this POS disease can't come soon enough.
Thank you. For the first 80 years of his life, he had like no medical issues at all. The surgery was 14 hours and he looked pretty bad the day after surgery, but fortunately he recovered remarkably well for his age. He was walking pretty quickly after about 1 week. Sometimes cancer is predictable and sometimes it is not. He never smoked but lived in a house with smokers when he was younger.
good shit - glad to hear this.
I'm thankful for Kelsey Turnbow
Looks like my MD
Was driving my grandma back to drop her off and she was talking about my grandpa’s best friend who isn’t doing so well health-wise. She mentioned that my grandpa used to say he only had three friends, being this man, myself, and my sibling. I am trying to set up some time next weekend to take her to visit him as both her and him are house-bound. My grandpa died in 2016.
I teared up a bit after dropping her off and heading to my place. My grandpa was not only a patriot who served in multiple wars across the globe, but he was a selfless man of God. He is the epitome of what every man should strive to be. If everyone in the world lived life as he did, the world would be a much better place. Not that I’m religious, but knowing someone like him truly believed there was a supreme being makes me think twice about saying there isn’t a god.
I am thankful for my job. Get paid a lot and I work with an awesome group of guys who have taught me a lot. Thankful for my family - I don’t get along with all members, but they are good people.
Thanks for sharing this story, hope you had a great thanksgiving
I’m thankful for my job, my family, and my health. I’m also thankful for a lot of friends in the poker community.
