I don't want to honka honka a pair of bricks.
Implants don’t feel like bricks……
The 40 Year Old Virgin - Bag Of Sand
I was thinking of the Seinfeld episode. "Are they built for comfort? Or built for speed?"
I would be extremely bothered because it would mean she has bad genetics
Found the bottombuckethardo repli account.
no
The plastic instagram girl "look" is disgusting. However I might be fine with it if the woman is in here 40s or 50s.
The last three girls I hooked up with had plastic surgery, not that any of them needed it.
I’m not really attracted to the fake look, for hookups it probably doesn’t matter. For marriage/kids, wouldn’t you want to mate with “the real thing”
Yeah and typically you have to take breast implants out to breast feed.
It depends what kind of plastic surgery. I do not think there is anything wrong with a girl getting her nose fixed. A girl getting plastic surgery is probably the equivalent of a guy getting a hair transplant.
Who said it has anything to do with social media? Say someone has an irregular sized nose or ear and they can tell that just by looking at others. What is wrong with them modifying the size of that and eliminating that handicap in their life?
Lots of women get it these days and you’ll never know unless they tell you. I’m ok with it, whether makes them happy
Speak for yourself - I’m not ok with lip surgery or filler. I think it looks terrible.
This won't directly answer you but you can take it into consideration. One of my co-workers had implants I could tell because she old.
Honestly don't care if the girl had done it previously. Guys always talk about how they want the "natural" look, while referencing heavily photoshopped IG posts as their ideal standard where people have got work done.
What I really wouldn't want is someone who I'm already dating to get it. Plastic surgery can be successful, but it can also be provide negative results.
Very good point
Whatever people want to do, it's a free country.
For me, it isn't the actual plastic procedure that would bother me. The bigger issue for me is the mentality and emotional stability behind the decision to get the procedure done. I'm not saying every person who gets plastic surgery has emotional instability or issues, but I would question what kind of self esteem or insecurities someone may have. The mentality behind the surgery itself can be quite toxic and difficult the manage in a relationship. Having dated a few women with self esteem and insecurity issues, I just do not have the patience nor strength to deal with these deep seeded issues any more.
Is there a big difference to you? Like... what does it matter if it's plastic surgery or makeup? Either way it's an artificial "enhancement" meant to deceive the viewer.
Personally I don't mind if someone wants to do minor surgery. That is their choice, and if it makes someone more confident in themselves, that is its own kind of attractive. I think people who look very obviously plastic aren't a turn on, and I frankly don't find the body figure that is currently in vogue to be particularly alluring, but if someone wants Botox, my guess is most people on this forum couldn't spot that in the first place.
Is plastic surgery actually "deceiving" the viewer though? If someone gets a plastic surgery, this is the face, lip, nose ,etc. the person is going to have for at least a decade if not longer before any modifications (if any) need to be done. So while it's not the face that person was born with, it is in fact their current face now and will be for a long time. It's no different than someone who gets braces. The teeth they were born with were irregular, but now their teeth is straight and is going to be a for a long time.
Heavy makeup on the other hand is actually deceptive, because it is meant to modify looks at that point in time. Unlike plastic surgery, a person's true current looks deviate from the looks that you see with the makeup. Some of examples of this would be a girl trying to dye her hair fully blonde when she has brown hair (not highlights), using heavy skin makeup to cover freckles/moles, utlizing fake hair, etc.
I actually believe social media (including IG) averages worse than the average population on most metrics including looks. People who are already successful in life don't need to seek anonymous validation from thousands of strangers. Girls who are really attractive know they are attractive and don't need some neckbeard creep on social media to reaffirm that. The reason that the IG crowd doesn't look as attractive, is not that the IG crowd is using plastic surgery too much, but it's that they in fact on average worse looking than the population at large. A 10 on IG is like a 6/7 irl.
Ha. Never underestimate how shallow and self-centered the average person is. If all you have going for you is looks, then the currency of your self esteem is the opinion of others. Of course you're going to go on a highly curated, easily manipulated social media platform and fish for likes and positive comments - that's all you've got! Whether you're better looking than Person X is almost immaterial at that point. My guess is that most people on this site don't understand that personality type, since we're more likely to be focused on different things, but for huge swathes of the population, validation on social media is the goal.
