For me:

Strengths:

- shit posting on WSO

- Poker

- Snowboarding

- I'll beat anyone at Mario Cart N64

Weaknesses:
- not that extroverted

- horrible at sales

- super recognizer for faces but forget names

- accounting

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I'll play.

Strengths:
-Smelling bullshit, particularly in finance related topics
-Putting all the parts together when it comes to making a fund run

-Downhill skiing

-Super Smash for N64

-Snarky comments here

-Knowledge of most major data services (M*, Bloomberg FactSet)

Weaknesses:

-Socially awkward

-Bad at sales

-Mediocre at best in Excel and Powerpoint

-Don't get me started on names.  I've actually adapted to the point that I can talk to you for 20 minutes without using your name, because I forgot it 15 seconds in

(EDIT: bad formatting from the new software AGAIN!)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Strengths

  • BBC
  • NCCA Football 14
  • Ignoring Exes
  • Drinking capacity

Weaknesses

  • Under 6 feet
  • Golf, long game sucks ass
  • Excel
  • Fin Memes IG

Strengths

- Cheating on tests
- Basketball, Tennis, and Chess
- Making friends

Weaknesses
- Overthink too much
- Can't focus on something for too long
- Can't speak properly(stutter)

Speaking articulately is something i long for...but i've realized the more you try to sound smart the dumber you sound because you're overthinking everything and not letting it flow..I'm starting to realize I should just be myself and talk like a normal dude instead of trying to be bill ackman.

Most Helpful

In interviews:

Strengths:

  • Communication abilities: able to convey technical concepts to people who don't code, ability to lead groups of people, organization abilities
  • Technical abilities: I know some pretty niche technical stuff when it comes to cloud computing and scaling distributed systems. I know AWS, Go, and handling concurrency quite well.

Weaknesses:

  • I pick some obscure technology and say I'm trying to learn that and get better at it, speak about how interesting it is but I haven't quite fully fleshed it out in depth, and move on

In real life:

Strengths:

  • Same as interview
  • Calling bullshit on people, I'm not afraid to speak my mind when something isn't right
  • I am willing to work hard and study hard to learn something, I just picked up Java over a weekend for an interview
  • I've gotten quite good at reading people, which makes me decent at sales
  • Speaking of sales, being honest is key to sales. I tell it like it is, if people don't like it then they can find someone to oversell and underdeliver. That won't be me

Weaknesses:

  • Instability. I tend to do too much too fast. I'll pull all nighters to get stuff done, not eat all day, forget to drink water, if I'm focused. Then I crash and feel sick worse than my worst hangover.
  • I can be overly brash and awful at politics. I am not afraid to tell people they're wrong, I tend to have problems in bureaucracies.
  • I quit jobs when I'm pissed off
  • I can be quite antisocial. I'm an outgoing introvert (meaning I can fake it well enough for a day). Even if I'm hanging with some of my best friends, I get home exhausted. I do enjoy hanging with them, but I'm really introverted. Not quite sure if it's a true weakness but I throw it in here.
“The three most harmful addictions are heroin, carbohydrates, and a monthly salary.” - Nassim Taleb

Strengths:

 - egotism (ability to not take shit personally)

 - extrovertedness (adding value to conversation, leading, "saying how it is")

 - hybrid of "defuser" and "avoiding bullshit" (defuse problems early on, avoid debate on heavily subjective topics like politics)

Weaknesses:

 - lying (while I get away with it, the scale of my lies are beyond absurd)

 - egotism (not caring about other peoples feelings because I have a lack of empathy)

 - excessive fantasies (very NPD-esque, spend time thinking about how I want to reach all these highs, be with so-and-so model, live at so-and-so place)

Strengths:

  • good at calling bullshit on people
  • Doing deep analysis
  • I'm a social chameleon, charming people (in real life) is not a problem for me
  • I read and write gud

Weaknesses:

  • I'm very quick to snap in anger
  • Perpetually skinny-fat
  • Horrible back issue
  • I tend to self-isolate a lot; mostly don't care for people

Funniest

Strengths

  • 6'4" and 230 pounds
  • Consistent 10% to 11% body fat percentage
  • Proud member of the "3-plates club" (315 lb) on bench press
  • 8.25 inch penis (yes, that additional one-quarter inch is important)

Weaknesses

  • Nagging repetitive strain injury (RSI) in right hand that comes and goes, and before you go there, NO, it is not from excessive masturbation... most likely prolonged computer usage
  • Chronic left shoulder pain that also comes and goes from an injury sustained from my football playing days (American football)
