The "takeover of AI" is being grossly overestimated in my opinion. So many jobs on this site will not see any noticeable affect from AI. And maybe a couple of years down the line analysts and associates might start to use it to look through a 10k or help write up emails. AI will only make the majority of jobs more efficient with humans at the helm. The only job that i read about that will be affected that I think is probably true, is accounting. But that industry has been in trouble for a while... 

 

Idk if this helps but there is already a website where you can simply plug a few numbers into and an entire LBO is created that looks absolutely stunning….

 

Any role where you’re main function is selling/building relationships

 

maybe cope but I feel there are a lot of assumptions in the technical portions of IB/PE/etc that I don't think AI will ever truly threaten the field. Will it impact it, sure. But I don't think those impacts will extend to job security.

and, technical skills are maybe like 30% of an IB role unless you are in a technical heavy group like M&A, energy, etc.
