What is going on with Kroger?
After the announcement of Trump tariffs, most of the stocks in the S&P 500 dropped dramatically. Some consumer products companies (Walmart, Ross, etc.) moved sideways or went up after experiencing months of volatility. However, Kroger has only been trending up during this whole rollercoaster. What is it that really causes so much investor confidence in this company? Wouldn't fear of aggressive tariffs (and maybe counter-tariffs) cause this stock to drop eventually?
I, for one, welcome our new Kroger overlords.
