I met this girl in Shanghai who was Russian and attended Columbia in NYC

We met up with her friend and my friend at the Grand Hyatt Cloud 9 cafe. She was pissed because she didn’t get the best suite and her dad ‘only’ gave her $50K for shopping for the week. We ate lobster and had rose champagne then chilled at her suite which seemed pretty nice to me.

She was cool overall and hot, but her conception of money was very different. Rumor was that her dad was in the Russian mafia.

Paid full tuition to the University of Miami - as an international student - so 280k for 4 years, then went to USC for a Masters for full tuition for another 100kish just to finish with a below 2.5 GPA in each uni and start an OF. Also would eat at Nobu at least every day & would uber to Fort Lauderdale to the galleria mall every weekend for shopping.

Feel bad for her dad

I don't know about crazy but some international students flaunt their wealth like crazy. They hang out in groups and don't talk to anybody else, have cheating rings (everyone cheated during virtual school but they were on another level). Drive Lambos and Aston Martins, wear gaudy designer clothes and are generally dicks to everyone else.

Funniest

The one I CAN share.

Palm Beach.  Newly married.  Dinner with my neighbor and his...um...stripper girlfriend who "wanted to get into real estate".

Dinner for 4 at Rachels...look it up if you dont know.  Think Peter Lugers meets Scores for you NY folks.

Just got paid my first big bonus (20 years ago...utility trading floor...you do the math) and was going to take the wife out.

Dinner bill is 3k.  He picks up the tab over my strenuous objections. Head through the OTHER door for a nightcap.  Guy drops 500 for a private lap dance...for my wife... while ordering JW Blue and Dom by the bottle since we met up with more of his friends.

Wife comes back and she takes a thousand in cash from me to buy him a room with 2 entertainers.

God my wife is the GOAT.

Bar bill is an additonal 15k+ PLUS another 5k in entertainment.  We leave and when we get into the car, my wife turns to me and says...

...Steak was a little tough...dont you think?

I don't know what is going on here.

From what I gather(and I'm not judging), your wife is bi? Why would she need a private dance in a room without you(I also don't care, it's not cheating if it is with another girl).

It is cool, when you go to strip clubs with girls.  There is a lot of reading between the lines with the 5k in entertainment. Not saying I haven't spent more in a night, but what exactly happened.

Not at all.

Shes a tough Irish broad from New Jersey.

The rich guy was breaking her stones...and no one does that to an Irish girl from NJ.

No one.

I know a family thats paying for their daughters tuition at NYU (80k/ year if I remember correctly?) and they were renting her a apartment because she wanted to

live away from the dorms. This year that apartment was too small for her so they got her a bigger one in a nicer building. The girls doing a create-your-own-major in activism

and refuses to do any internships because she wants to explore the city and become an influencer.
