What is the largest amount of money you've ever deposited into the bank at once?

Saw a video on social media of this guy literally bringing in stacks upon stacks of hundreds to deposit into the bank, wondering what's the biggest single deposit you've ever made?

A couple thousand to pay a tuition fee milestone really tight to its deadline because the online banking system was undergoing maintenance. Issue was that I had to do it across two different branches, as they informed me that they had temporary deposit limits per branch (just my luck).

Funniest

Like $30K for a same-day car refinance to make a mortgage work in my wife's name. I was basically holding the bank's money for them. That was very recent. Like a year ago, we were getting a mortgage for my mom and she co-signed on my dumbass soccer hooligan cousin's Kia Forte with him, which I told her not to do, and we told his dad to pay that shit off before she got the mortgage. So he's leaving for Ukraine for a couple weeks and my uncle says he'll bring the money back with him. He brings back like $9,995 in cash, doesn't declare it, and goes and pays his car off in cash. So we had to write that amount out of her assets entirely. These fucking third-world idiots don't understand that we have systems in place here to try to prevent them from doing literally everything they do financially. They were befuddled. Like what the fuck, our money's no good? What's wrong about bringing $10K undeclared over on a plane from a post-Soviet shithole? I'm like, can you just show me a withdrawl statement at least? "I take from safe before voyage" /facepalm

"m_1" $800k or so from an exit. I always get cheques for exits because it makes me feel cool cashing them. Then after I go to subway and enjoy a meatball marinera sub, usually a foot long and take a big nap from all the calories and carbs. Mmmmmm....

Subway??? Do better bro.

A meatball sub from Subway after cashing an $800k check (or cheque LOL) sounds right dude

Way too infrequently to make any sort of assertion about how often they'll happen. Most of my regular income is derived from dividends/debt repayments from companies we invested in as growth equity but the bulk/juicy bits are when we sell equity of course. Just have no idea when it will happen. If some idiot VC comes along and offers to pay me a revenue multiple because they don't use EBITDADDY multiples (lulz) then I'll take it and run regardless of how well I think the company will do.

"WolfofWSO" I used to eat sardines for dinner.

I love sardines. Wild Planet from Costco bomb.com

@m_1" But for real though, do you twirl your mustache around your index finger with one hand as you write the word "cheques"?

I moonlight as a smurf. So I regularly deposit $9,999.99 in different banks all day everyday.

About $30k. I sold homes during college.

Sell homes in SoCal. Find a client who wants to sell their home and buy a bigger home. Close both transactions concurrently using contingency clauses in the contracts.

Also this was not actual cash. Nobody paid me in a briefcase. It was two separate checks given to me on one single day.
