What is the nicest thing you've done for somebody without being able to tell them?
We all(hopefully) do nice things, but sometimes we can't tell those who we're helping. Whether it's simply that you didn't have a chance to tell them, or because telling them would ruin it entirely, keeping it to yourself can be painful, so let's hear what you've done!
Wholesome
So basically brag about your good works to get credit on earth and not in heaven (loss of humility).
Hahaha because that’s exactly what we’re all trying to do.
We're all anonymous, so I'm sure we'll still get half credit.
I gave all my cash to a homeless dude outside the weed store when I was gonna kill myself later that day but then I didn't so I went back the next day but he was all like I spent it
This time I was trying to get into nationals for boardercross snowboarding in 2018, I drove to VA to race and on the way I was staying at some city in VA. I stopped at the gas station near my hotel and started talking to this homeless dude sitting on the ground with a cup of change. He looked pretty well kempt and I asked him where he was sleeping tonight and he said ‘here’ and I was aware I got 2 queen beds and so just told him to come on over.
He was very happy to hear this and we hung out and exchanged stories over espresso and dark chocolate almond milk. (I brought my espresso machine.)
This hotel also included a full breakfast for all guests and I counted my friend as a guest so we both ate breakfast like kings. They had scrambled eggs, biscuits, potatoes, sausage links, bacon, waffles, strawberries, pancakes - a real fine breakfast. It was honestly one of the happiest moments of my life. I had to go at 9am or so but he had two hours to checkout and he was just so happy to have a nice place to chill for 2 hours and watch TV.
I got to the snowboard competition (regionals) and successfully secured a slot at nationals and later that year attended nationals in Open/Pro category at Copper Mountain 2018.
Lol’d. Good one
I interviewed a student who was exploring a job with us (leading BB at the time) vs working at google..... i told him to enjoy the day but he should take the google job - he did
another was debating trading vs being a teacher.... i encouraged teaching.. she did
all you can do is give honest advice sometimes and see how it works out for them......
Do you hate your job that much?
Debatable if you did the right thing, especially with the teacher.
Yeah honestly not only does teaching pay terribly, it's not as easy or fun of a job as people make it out to be
