...well that was embarrassing :-)
you ever think about replacing hugh jackman in the next wolverine?
Great interview, good job dealing with some of those interruptions.
thanks - i thought i sounded like a smug bumbling idiot and i kept looking down but was really one of my first video interviews in a while, so will cut myself some slack (weird sitting in a tiny room with bright lights shining down on you and staring into a black screen with a camera behind it).
The good part is they thought it was interesting, so should be able to do more in future to get WSO more exposure...in particular, I think I will try to get back on to reveal some trends once the 2014 WSO Compensation Report is done (currently in the works)...
haha neat!
it was ok :)
looking forward to new vids!
I didn't know Patrick was such a cutie patootie.
flake, that means a lot coming from you ;-)
Aww, such love...
I'm just curious - why is investment banking still the go-to face of Wall Street, like when you answered the question of what is the comp on Wall street these days. Are there more investment bankers than ER or S&T guys on the street?
Nice work Patrick! Exposure is great! Tell them to come to the next WSO conference!
Well done sir! This is awesome exposure for WSO. I feel that you hit your stride mid-way through the interview once the initial jitters wore off. Looking forward to more of these in the future.
I think you came across well here :)
Yes.
Go Patrick! ;-)
Good job, really. From what I've seen myself look like on camera I can say you did awesome!
@"WallStreetOasis.com" : But seriously Pat, congrats on this. WSO on autopilot to Pluto!
Congrats Patrick!
I thought it was a good interview and you represented the site extremely well.
You did look down a little bit, but I don't think it was all that bad. You showed some personality as a commentator and communicated the situation on wall street effectively.
I don't think you're going to be getting calls from CNBC to be a regular pundit, but I'd grade this interview no worse than a B+.
Thanks man, much appreciated. I'll do better next time. I'll also have more hard #s and interesting stats to give next time which I think will go over well...
@"duffmt6", i think i was nervous as well :-) -- I usually sit at home in my cave and work with my small team over skype. I actually had to trim my crazy beard and wear pants...very weird experience for me.
I was nervous for Patrick while watching that but thought he did a great job. It seemed like the interviewer did some solid prep beforehand too.
Cool interview! You lucked out and got a HBB...
In the opening WSO animation it looks like the banker is rubbing the girl in the green shirt's boob while they're at the bar
Hahahaha
One of my class required us to video tape ourselves giving a speech. We then had to watch it. It is absolutely brutal -- makes you appreciate how tough it is to perform while the camera is rolling.
yeah, my A+ in public speaking at Wharton didn't show here...lol -- we also had to watch ourselves on tape. It is painful. I am rusty to say the least...
Oh well, next time :-)
Great interview. Sounds like an anxiety nightmare
Nice to see wso getting exposure. Great job on the interview
thanks and welcome
Nice interview. Also looks like Yahoo was able to monetize it as they showed about a quarter of The Wolf of Wall Street during the interview's duration.
Does this mean its mainstream to be on WSO?
great interview, good publicity. curious if metrics show a spike in traffic.
Bloomberg next so you can introduce me to Stephanie Ruhle.
She looks even better in person. Bangin'.
So that's the chief monkey who created this gold mine of information.. Very solid interview, congrats!
Good interview and publicity but a little disappointed that it made wso seem mostly banking focused.
he's hot
Solid interview
Not surprised she asked about models & bottles
Nice work Patrick! I imaging making an interview, I would be very nervous but you did a great job man. Keep it up!
Great stuff Patrick!
wow, thanks for all the nice comments guys, makes me feel better about it :-)
I just realized ... we don't know if Patrick wore any pants. That's why the blonde interviewer was so energetic!
Neat interview!
Way to go, Pat!
Up next CNBC and Bloomberg.
Great interview
Great interview. Just a few interruptions from the interviewer. Look forward to seeing more interview like that.
Great interview. Keep promoting the site. This can only lead to better resources for all us monkeys.
Great interview. Little awkward at first but definitely looked more comfortable as the interview progressed.
@"chicandtoughness" you're famous
Delicious pat
Solid interview. She definitely kept pushing for pay on Wall Street. Great job handling some of the tougher questions like "bottles & models".
you look good on camera :P
Nailed it. Feels good to be part of WSO!
