What not to miss in Boston

My wife and I are spending 2 days in Boston this October as we tour/check out schools there. She's never been, and I want her to fall in love. What are the places that we should go/things we should do while we're there to ensure that she loves it? For context, we don't drink alcohol and aren't as fond of museums, unless it's an amazing museum.

2 things that might surprise you

1) Boston area actually has a pretty great culinary scene. Ton of affordable food options from ramen, Peruvian food, cafes to upscale French, Mediterranean, American contemporary, and Japanese cuisine. If you like hidden gems, try anywhere featured on Phantom Gourmet.

2) If you consider yourselves "perpetual learner" types social try hanging out in Cambridge near MIT and/or Harvard. Try striking up a conversation with someone, you are very likely to run into some grad student who's willing to tell you everything about their field. Just feel the energy and passion in their eyes.
