Laundry - full stop

I'm all about traditional gender roles and would love to meet a future wifey that cooks, does laundry, cleans, and maintains the house (and spends time with the kids). My mom was like that and felt my upbringing was exceptional. My Dad really appreciated it as well. My mom and I are really close - they started out with 3 kids, and I was the unexpected 4th.

Career minded future wifey prospects aren't dealbreakers for me, I respect the hustle.

Flossing, very important but it’s the last thing I wanna do at 2-3am when I’m sleep deprived and have to get up in 5hrs for another 16hr day…

Yeah I feel ya. I don't floss a lot, but have a 6mo cleaning at dentist on Wed so just started flossing 2 days ago to temper my gums to look good and not bleed during the appointment. I usually start a month before, but have been slack this time.

I think the toughest for me is picking which breakfast cereal to make in the morning. I’ll usually have some Frosted Flakes, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Cap’n Crunch, and Reese’s Puffs to choose from, meanwhile on top of that there’s also different Yogurts in my fridge that I have to pick from.

Some of these include Yoplait, Chobani, Dannon, Gogurt and Stonyfield farm.

I’ll usually sit around for a few minutes to decide which yogurt to eat, then pick one and start eating it while I decide which cereal to make for breakfast. This usually takes up anywhere between a few minutes to half an hour of my morning, but it gets me ready for the rest of the day

Waking up

I hate laundry more than cleaning.  I get a little satisfaction from having cleaned, while laundry is basically just setting everything back to baseline.  Folding is the worst part of doing laundry too. Yes, it's low effort and you can do it in front of the TV, but it still sucks massively.  The one thing that I will say goes in laundry's favor, is that you're forced to do it after a while, when the hamper is full.  With cleaning you can just keep letting it go until your place is disgusting.  I find that being forced to do these chores is a benefit, given how unpleasant they are.

Half of these aren't really applicable to me though.  I enjoy cooking.  I'm also satisfied with my job. (I'm the guy making the comments, and it's 45 minutes in the 'relaxation room,' not three hours TYVM.  If it takes you three hours to incorporate my comments you should work faster.)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Cat litter. Fuck that little guy for shitting all the time. Love him though

Haha I gave my dad an outdoor cat so she doesn’t have to use the litter box. But, after my Dad passes, I might have to keep her at my place which is indoors until I get a house.  She loves being outside and climbing trees.

  • Getting up. I've never taken less than 45 minutes in my life, and it's usually an hour. I don't get more than 5 hours sleep during the week because of this shit.
