I made a fairly concentrated bet on a small cap gold mining stock that appeared very cheap. It was priced at book value, low pe, mountains of cash and had an enormous mining project coming up...

If the company steadied its cash flows, the mining project would have generated enormous returns in 2-3 years, but it was a complete gamble.

I remember reading an investor on Seeking Alpha saying he didn't chase current cash flows, he chased future cash flows. I sold everything I had within a week.
