What's the best tasting and smoothest Vodka?
So even though people say all non-flavored vodka taste identical, I personally feel there is a slight difference in taste and good amount of difference in smoothness among the different brands.
What vodka brand do you think tastes the brand and is the smoothest? (Non-flavored)
It's vodka, take the shitty plastic bottle and filter it a few times, then try to tell me the difference between that and Belvedere or Grey Goose. I personally enjoy Kirkland and Tito's because college.
I've heard that Kirkland uses the same stuff as Grey Goose from many friends, but can't find proof anywhere. Wouldn't be surprised though, good shit.
Kirkland is one of the most high quality store brands out there.
They source from places in the same zipcode or the same place altogether, something along those lines is my understanding. I would assume it's common knowledge that for most mainstream spirits the biggest differentiator is marketing, not so much the product itself.
Absolut OG Vodka. From college times to then work and fun times. Never gets old
Yeah I’ll buy Tito’s to make greyhounds. I used to drink Absolut a lot when younger until winter (New Year’s) 2000/2001 when I was at a NYE party with a DJ in some mansion in San Diego.
Everyone passed out except my friend and I and there was a bottle of Absolut unopened and my friend said “we are going to kill this bottle right now.” I said I thought that it would be a bad idea and he said “shot for shot lezzz go” and let out a maniacal laugh and we chased each warm shot with warm Gatorade Glacier Freeze. We finished the bottle and I felt sick and puked my brains out after. I didn’t drink vodka or Glacier Freeze for a good 5 years after that.
At the bar, I like the occasional dirty martini with Grey Goose, but hardly ever order that much anymore and don’t go to bars often anymore either. Ketel One is good too.
Crown Russe
Chopin if you can find it, Ketel One if you can't.
Goose is really bad quality, same with Tito's, but they're really good at marketing.
I'm biased obviously but I generally only buy Polish vodka. Luksusowa, Monopolwa are good cheaper bottles (better than Sokieski but that's semi-decent too), Zybrowka is good too. If you want to splurge more Chopin is great.
Russian standard, stored in the freezer
ciroc
Stoli
Everyone will say Grey Goose, but I have been drinking Absolut for years and I would say that it is a very soft quality vodka.
What do you guys think about Finlandia?
It's from Finland.
Didn't see anybody mention Finlandia yet.
Personally I'd take Ciroc or Reyka.
