I will take a guess based on your question, you might be early in your undergrad and you are thinking about finance. If this is the case, instead of talking about what everyone thinks is prestigious, I would prefer to talk about what you like to do. What do you want to get out of a job? If the answer is close to, "I want to get a lot of people to think I am awesome", I cannot help too much, but just follow the herd, they will get you where you want to be.
