What’s the nicest office you’ve ever been in?
A buddy was telling me about how his MM PE fund had several $MMs of art hanging on the walls (Chuck Close etc.) which got me thinking about other over the top offices I’ve seen / heard of.
what’s the nicest / most elaborate / absurd office you’ve ever been in?
Currently the best thing I got is my bedroom
GTCR Chicago is pretty gas.
Can confirm - palace in the sky
I read somewhere the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen, & Katz office in nyc is nice, but cannot confirm.
For the rates they charge it better look 2 steps above heaven
In my experience, big law offices have typically been 100x nicer than any bank or investment firm office I’ve been to. McDermott Will & Emery’s Chicago office is one of my favorites. Also in the newer River Point building with arguably one of the best views in the city.
ronin capital had nice offices. coy pond. cool.
harris associates had(s?) nice offices. many coffees and soups to choose from.
IMC cap markets has dope offices and a dope view.
offices suck tho they make me sad
Key word on Ronin is 'had'
yeah lol but they had a great run. i worked in the real estate office in the back anyway
Is this code for something, or a nice bowl of minestrone?
soup and salad of the day bro. rotated daily. that and free V8 was mostly all I ate for 6 months.
Heard PJ Solomon has a beautiful office. I enjoyed GS's old office at 85 Broad.
KKR / Blackstone - old school, lots of wood
Warburg / Centerbridge - newer / more modern, Centerbridge does somewhat feel like a big bullpen though with the open floor plan
Elliot's office is super nice. Citadel's new office at the top of 425 Park is supposed to be super nice, but it hasn't opened yet to my knowledge
Morgan Stanley in Paris, they have a typical Parisian mansion in Rue de Monceau, and their garden overlooks the Parc Monceau, find it really awesome
Most real estate offices are pretty lame, but Kennedy Wilson had a really inspired interior.
I don’t have a benchmark against NYC offices, but Old Parkland in Dallas is a gorgeous enclave for family offices and established funds
Forgot that one, probably the gold standard for RE overall.
+1, have a buddy that works at Crow and he sends me ridiculous pictures of the place
Fred algers, Copley’s nyc
Morgan Stanley’s London (Canary Wharf) office looks insane from what I’ve seen online
I'd lower your expectations, just in case you're ever let inside.
Apple Park was much nicer in person.
