Unpopular opinion here, so bring on the monkey shit. My parents never let me watch Disney Channel as kid, so by the time I was a teen I didn't really have any interest in watching any of the "sitcoms" that everyone at school reminisced about. One of my friends in high school had younger siblings so when I went over to heir house they would have Disney channel on pretty frequently. Holy shit these shows were bad. No substance, cringey, boring, and incredibly unfunny. I get that maybe they have a nostalgic factor to them, but I personally don't see it. Just absolute trash in my opinion, like they were trying to replicate actual sitcoms but couldn't capture what made them good in the first place. And I don't have a personal bias against Disney, because I genuinely like most of their classic movies. Just think that most of the live-action Disney shows I saw were pretty bad.

Bro, that's cause you're not the target audience. They didn't make the shows for high schoolers, they made them for elementary and early middle school kids. My parents didn't let me watch it either, but when I inevitably watched it years later in scenarios similar to yours, I tried to look at it from the mindframe of a kid.
