When is a girl too young?

I think I'm finally starting to not feel very young anymore. I'm 25 and feel like I can't be messing with a certain age group anymore. At 24, I felt just fine, I knew I was hitting that "can't date a 20 yo ceiling" but I wasn't quite there at 24, but now I think I've hit that ceiling.

What are your thoughts on an acceptable age difference?

Depends on the person (you and them). Personally, I find myself bored with most girls younger than 20 at this point.

(her age/2)+7 = okay

Though, for me personally, I used that as a general "I can sleep with her". Personally, more than 4-5 years younger than me is kinda weird to be dating, unless she's a badass. I've only come across one of those (she was 19 when I was 25).

old enough to pee is old enough for me

"Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill you. That's not a threat, that's a fact.

There's nothing wrong with going after youthful women... it's been wonderful for me at least

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."

If they're in a bar they're game IMO. But if you're talking relationship, you might want to find someone a little closer...

But I don't know, this past weekend the girls were either definitely not of age, or my "in the bar" rule no longer applies.

Add 20% to her age and it has to be higher than your age

The rule of 7 is the rule of law when it comes to the "should you hit it" question.

When thinking longer-term, things change. I think that someone closer to your age is ideal.

I would go by that rule, except I knew too many 15/16/17 year olds going to the bar/club. Jailbait is not cool

This chick is 21 and is so damn sexy, I almost felt guilty hitting on after I found out her age. Getting older sucks man.

Are you kidding? Hit that. I've got a year on you and I'd go for it if I was interested. Up to you though

Never heard of the rule of 7. I personally follow the 3 forward, 5 back rule. If you're 25 and she's 21, if I were you I'd would most definitely attempt to hit that.

That rule doesn't scale properly.

I'm closer to age 50 than age 20. If I was single, my guideline would basically be (reproductive years, min 25).

To each his (or her) own I suppose. Course IMO any age gap 10+ starts to make me feel like a creeper. By that rule, at 40 anyone 27 and up is fair game. I suppose it depends if you use it for relationships or one-night-stand scenarios.

Maybe my rules unclear. Reproductive years are probably between 13-45ish. I'm saying my age range guidelines would be between 25-45 (all reproductive years with a minimum of 25 y/o) and I'm 36. You think that's weird? Interesting.

The 10+ year gap doesn't make sees to me, especially at the extremes. (20 y/o or 80 y/o, for instance)

Yeah, this girl isn't the smash and dash type. She's actually pretty sexy. The type of girl you'd wine and dine and have conversations with.

Good insight though, I didn't know of all these rules, seems like I fall within all of the parameters.

Yeah bro. Gotta make sure nothing you're doing is taboo, right?

Acceptable age difference? I'd say that, barring statutory rape considerations, 60 years sounds about right. Hugh Hefner's new bride is 60 years his junior and look how happy they are.

Also age is just a meaningless number. Every person has a different growth trajectory. Some people coming at age and become thoughtful, responsible adults very early on while others never really grow up. I would focus on other factors like any interests in common, goals in life etc rather than just a single data taken out of context.

Under 18 is too young in most states. But if you factor in the typical 1-2 month lead time, you may as well try to steal a base or at least inch off of first.

Once you get into your mid 30s, it turns into the "do you look old enough to be their dad" rule. Be safe, take it as a 14ish year age difference or just use it as motivation to look younger.

Wait...that's a thing?

I've heard quite a few girls in their early 20's say that they are attracted to men in their late 20's / early 30's. If it isn't creepy for them then it shouldn't be creepy for you.

I don't think it's about how many years younger SHE is as much as how many millions richer HE is. He decides to consistently afford young chicks. That's his swagger. You're right about age being a meaningless number, but let's not fool ourselves - a girl needs an incentive to be with a guy who could have been her grandfather before she was even conceived.

Creepy is a word to shame people for doing something that is not socially acceptable by some nebulous social consensus. There is no legal power to turn down girls who are of legal age. Quit caring that someone might not like you nailing the co end. Most of the world outside the Anglosphere doesn't give a shit.

So as long as she's legal, have fun.

Take your age divided by 2. Take that number and add 7 and that is about as young as you should ever go. so if your say 24, 24/2=12. 12+7=19 years old. Lets say your 34. 34/2=17. 17+7=24 years old.

You get the drift

Just to clarify, you're advocating that someone should PIITB of 11 year olds? I don't think you're going to get a lot of supporters on that one.
