Where you end up?
out of curiosity... I have always held the assumption that if you want to live somewhere if you go to grad school in that area you will most likely land a job there, thus living there.
the way I look at it is IF you can get into a variety of grad programs, but your dream is to live in a certain area at one point where really no schools are or more accurately not a prestigious grad school is then you should still join that program because of location despite getting into others that are more prestigious.
to be more exact and to pass the vague bullshit, ill just say my predicament; I would love to live in new orleans... long term? i have no fucking idea, but soon yes. so I lets say I get into tulane take the program of lets say msf or mrng or should I go to a more prestigious school if I get into it?
It may seem like I am asking for specific help here, but in reality I would really like to know for those of you with the experience on this forum how many of you can vouch that you end up where you end school?.. for the most part at least of course there are exceptions.
and of course if I would like to live there then I should just do it school or no school. would love some feedback if anyone has had similar thoughts thanks.
This post is incomprehensible.
Post gave me cancer...
I would say yes. Definitely, yes.

My head hurts.
I think I may have deciphered this incomprehensible message, it is better to go to school near where you want to work, with some exceptions, namely schools with regional or national placement power. Even for top schools, they tend to have a local bias. Be careful about limiting your options by going to a shittier local school
