Why are firm names so gay now?

Across high finance, we've seen a large influx in L20Y of terrible names: Evercore, Qatalyst, Dragoneer, Nut Tree, Point72, etc. They sound like Chinese mobile games. You tell a girl at the bar you work for "Nut Tree" and she probably thinks you're a homosexual! What happened to names with some class (KKR, H&F, TPG, Farallon, Junto)? Perhaps founders now are pussies and don't want their names associated with the firm if it fails???
