I have no idea how it works in detail. I think it's some combination of suppressing appetite and causing your metabolic rate to increase which burns more fat I guess? South Park just did a whole episode on it which was hilarious.

Dallas I lived for 5 years but I cannot really point out the factor because I have seen all ranges of attractiveness. I guess people eat out less compared to NYC at least.
But in general, US food is poison, even the veggies are sprayed with chemicals to keep them fresh. It’s a chronic disease epidemic and everyone is too busy or too lazy to work out.
Unless you change the food supply from corporate farmlands that people like Bill Gates are buying up back to family owned farms, it will get worse. Mixture of people represented in Wall-E and idiocracy are coming up.

people overestimate how much food they need. unless you're working a physical job, you're good with just one meal per day and a couple of snacks.
Everybody has different rates of metabolism, height and work done in a day isn’t the only factor determining food required. Anything from level of intelligence to amount of speaking done in a day can greatly vary the required fuel.
You can travel a mile in a Lamborghini and a Toyota, do they both take the same amount of fuel?
Also I am a certified trainer who has actually worked with nutritionists as opposed to someone who read it on some pseudoscience webpage or pulled it out of thin air.

This matches my experience. My feed was literally nothing but fatties, but I would get an occasional complimentary rose and all the pretty girls were there. The rose was how I ended up meeting my wife believe it or not.

There's sorta two pieces.
The first is Hinge has a "soft" paywall. A certain segment/portion of good profiles basically won't show up or show up only infrequently unless you pay for whatever their dumb features are.
The second is it matches you with people it judges as being of a similar level of attractiveness as you (based on who likes you, who likes them, various other characteristics, etc.) in addition to your own preferences. So if you're matching with people you find unattractive, well that's what the algo is saying, relative to the whole population.
In all fairness, the NYC dating pool is just a lot deeper/more competitive, so a dude who would be top 10% in like Kansas City or top 25% in Houston might barely be scraping median in NYC and it can be compounded by the dating pool being asymmetric between dudes and chicks.
What if they just added a weight/body type filter? Some silicon valley dork should get on this asap. Will drop some more pennies on the app and see if my results improve lmao
