Working Christmas Day

Currently working an off cycle internship with a big corporation in their finance department. It’s 4Q close and my boss is insisting that I work Christmas Day even though no one else is. I want to spend this time with family... I’m still a teenager. I already know I dont want to come back to this company and I already secured an internship elsewhere for next summer.

What should I do?

Can’t tell if this is serious...

Don’t work on Christmas. Take the day off and enjoy it with your family. You’re not returning to that company and nobody else is working so there is nobody around to ‘impress.’ There is no reason you should be working Christmas in this case. I don’t see the benefit or why you would even consider that

wait, I had my annual review with my boss on friday, and he was OK with me taking the rest of the decade off. Like seriously, do you work in a non-christian country??? (I got a great review, for what it's worth.)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
