Working in city vs suburb

Which do you guys prefer?

I'm working in suburbs right now and I find it terrible. I interned in city and the difference is actually pretty big at least to me of being enjoyable. working in suburbs it feels dull and boring especially if you're at office late. City at least you have the streets right outside with some life. I'm not in IB but figured I'd ask here as its most active. I assume most here work in a city of course.

It really depends on what you mean by "suburbs." Places like Washington, DC, Atlanta, San Francisco, etc. have suburbs that have a greater density and are cooler than some cities. I far prefer cities, but if I lived and worked in a cool urban node outside of the CBD, I'd be more than ok with it.

You can keep your 80's and 90's style office parks off the interstate though. I have zero interest in that.

As in like an office complex in a random town not necessarily near a large city.
