worst 2 days ever
Wow how much bad stuff can happen in a row. Yesterday my car broke down, someone stole $120 of my wallet, and my glasses broke. Today I got a bill for 2 grand for something I thought was going to be like 400. And next week is finals week. Life is pretty bad right now.
The best thing about hitting rock bottom is it's only up from here.
The worst thing is that we don't know where the bottom is..
gstackle, I dont feel the need to defend monkolony here but I want to point out that your argument is an intellectual insult to, as I am sure, not only me. 1st: the guy never stated that he was not trying to find an internship. That is a conclusion you draw from his statement that he attended a financial forum today. How would you know what he does on every other day? Obviously you can't unless you know the guy personally, and if you don't, please stop giving shit to people here. 2nd: what do you think the guy attends a financial forum for if not to network/try to find a job? Going to these forums is the best thing you can do if you are out of college/out of the job and want to network.
Please think before speaking. Many people on this forum will thank you. At least the sane ones, although they seem to become more and more of a minority here.
I don't ever remember referring specifically to molonky, I was simply playing along with the hypothetical situation he presented and giving my thoughts on how a person in that hypothetical situation could go about finding employment. no dude, i had a worse last two days, ready? My small business (as in out of my dorm small) is getting sued for copyright infringement from some $100 MM+ company in jersey, found out a close friend of mine was in the closet and wants to marry me or some shit, and my gf is pregnant. yea, i win.
Holy balls. Those are two incredibly shitty days. The only thing that could make it worse is if your gf was prego to your gay friend (experimenting) who owns the company suing you.
hahah, fuck that's likely next. i was exaggerating with my now gay friend wanting to marry me, but we've spent an awful lot of time together, so i'm pretty much weirded the fuck out. as for the company in jersey, i'm just going to do whatever they say and close my LLC, luckly i haven't made any money yet so they can't sue me for my life. and the child inside of my gf will not be born. so life goes on and i'm going to rape finals extra hard as kind of a make-up-sex moment with life

KP, if it is an LLC and you haven't made any money yet, you don't necessarily have to shut down. Due to limited liability and your LLC not making any money, you really don't have much to lose. May be worth going down fighting or seeing if they are just bluffing and they may back down because going after you is probably a colossal waste.
Honestly I was beyond floored that anyone even knew what I was doing. I think they found out because I post all code to open source forums like github and pastebin. the company does video and VOIP (they're a skype competitor) and the site i'm building out relies on video heavily so maybe someone noticed some similarities and just decided to play hard ball with me. honestly, though, i'm just going to do whatever they want as i've lost interest in the project and i don't wanna get fucked...i'm just going to include it on the resume, tar the source, and say there were legal problems so i didn't continue.
