I'm down for whatevah.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

Macro ArbitrageIs this event open to NYU students interested in 'networking'?
assuming you are one of those cute hipster nyu chicks, i am available for all the "networking" you want provided that this event occurs on a friday night.

I'd suggest doing it on a Friday as well. This way I can attend. Short, Monday/Tuesday = Bad Form. If you are looking at those two days only, I'd prefer Monday, because I can make it a quick drink and be on my merry way, but Friday is far better a choice. Even Thursday works better.

Now he's going to show up asking everyone for a job.

I liked the pool room, but it's a mater of how many people show up. If you know it's gonna be 25, I'd go pool room. More than 25, I'd go with upstairs.

I liked the pool room as well, ever since Monty and I had that "Color of Money"-esque intense shootout. ;)

NYU students need to understand that there aren't going to be any jobs to network for when unemployment is hovering around 9% and major banks have plans to lay off 10-15% of their work force this year.

Have you considered working for an oil company instead? $85/barrel oil= bonanza for people working on drilling rigs.

While there are fewer jobs than in past years, it is not true that there are no jobs.

Also, I hear oil rigs blow up (literally, not like Lehman) from time to time, so you may want to take that into consideration.

Working on a rig is a physically demanding and dangerous job, usually 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or something similar. Pay is good, you just have to be able to put up with the shittiness of it (and the risk of losing life/limb, though it's not THAT common)
