I missed the exact date it happened (now at 306k) but wow this site has grown quickly over the last two years!

ah, good 'ol vanity metrics! Thanks guys for all the congratulations. I'll be happier if/when our traffic starts accelerating again...we've been in more steady growth mode for 1+ year now :-)

How many are active? I mean if we are losing as many as we are adding, I don't see much point. Total registered will of course just keep increasing.
Regardless of how many are active, kind of funny that you have >300K registered users for a site focused on breaking into an industry that each year has probably 1K analyst positions.
Having >300K registered users chasing 1K analyst positions is not hard to believe when you consider the overall number of kids applying to positions located in the US/UK and HK. Many of the applicants are bound to stumble onto this site.
I would say there is much more than 1,000 analyst positions if you are looking at regional boutiques around the world. Also, we are much more than just investment banking community now. We have a strong community of PE, HF Corp Fin, Mngmt Consulting and Trading professionals, just to name a few :-) ...plus, we've been around for almost 9 years now, so each year there is a new group trying to break in.

Congrats guys. I'm sure there is some large degree of attrition but overall the site has a lot of regular users that continue to progress in their career. While originally most of the site was focused on IB analyst roles there has been tremendous growth in PE / Consulting / Business School, etc. So keep plugging away!
Thanks for the kind words Comp! Yeah, we've seen growth across all areas...the "vanity metric" of 300k users is nice to have, but active users is what counts :-) We're still doing well there although growth has slowed somewhat from the earlier years for obvious reasons...
