Algo Trading vs generic HF Dev position

Hey WSO, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Some background info; 3rd year CS/Finance student at a top Uni in Canada, about to go on my co-op period starting May. My post graduation goal is to work for JSC/2Sig/DEShaw as a software developer. Between two (potential) offers, I'm not sure which company to pick.

Company A: NYSE-listed investment service company working in high frequency algorithmic trading (ideally my interest). Very small, specialized team, meaning i'll learn a lot. Pay: $44k CAD/year

Company B: Toronto-based hedge fund, managing roughly $300MM CAD. Development work consists mainly of managing investment systems for the traders. Small team, meaning i'll probably learn quite a lot. Pay: ~$95k CAD including bonus.

Between these two, which would you pick? I'm leaning towards company B as the extra money could go a long way by allowing me to graduate without debt, but the work I'd be doing doesn't seem to be exciting.
