Big 4 Transfer Pricing vs Venture for America vs Deloitte S&O

I will graduate from a non target in the spring, and right now I'm sitting on two offers. I can't decide which one to accept. Transfer Pricing at a Big 4 or a Venture for America Fellowship.

I do ultimately see myself as a entrepreneur, but recognize the importance of getting a Big 4 brand name behind me. My short term goal is to get into a top 5-10 MBA program.

I like the upside that Venture for America has to offer, and to be honest I would probably enjoy my life as a VFA fellow more than TP. However, there is no guarantee that I would get placed anywhere exciting either (VFA places you across the country to work in promising startups/ accelerators/ VC firms). VFA is new and unproven, Big 4 speaks for itself.

Thoughts?

Also, I'll know whether or not I got S&O consulting at Deloitte in a few weeks. Where should that rank?

Honestly? Don't go into TP unless you really want to do it in the long run. It's a new-ish field and reasonably exciting if you're into that sort of thing (or so I hear from friends in TP), plus the fact that it's so relatively new means that you can stand out if you've got substance. Hours can be okay, and job stability is excellent. However, Tax in general is pretty specialised, and even more so with TP, so really only do it if you're sure you'd like it.

I'd just take S&O, if that's possible.

Thanks Angus. I think I would take S&O over TP assuming I get S&O (final round is next week). However if I don't get S&O, I have to decide between TP and a Venture for America fellowship. Would you recommend TP over VFA?
