Bond Insurance?
I recently got an offer for a summer internship for a company that insures municipality bonds in its surveillance department. This will be for my sophomore summer and it's paid. Does anyone know what other opportunities this could lead to? I'm not deadset on a specific field yet as I'm open to many career paths. Could this lead to things like Public Finance IB? Maybe credit funds?
Also, what does this job entail for a full-time career after graduation? What is the pay like, hours, etc?
I think I'll probably accept the offer as I don't have any other offers and I think this could be a good way to get my foot in the door in the finance industry. Also, the people I interviewed with seemed like good people and the reviews of the company on glassdoor seemed great. But I'm not too knowledgeable in this area so I was wondering if others know.
