I was pretty much in the same situation as you about two years ago. I went to through a highly ranked masters, got multiple offers, and then settled on bank auditing at the big 4 with the biggest/best financial sector presence. Similarly, I wanted to go into banking but the opp wasnt there right out of uni. My thought was that I would learn a ton about banking, beef up the resume and then apply.

Let me say this, I worked bankers hours, got paid a shit wage and was treated terribly. I may have been able to deal with this, but the worst part was that you really dont learn much about the sector your working in because you are too busy checking boxes/formatting spreadsheets, and just trying to tie up the everyday things you need to do like laundry, haircuts, and whatnot.

If I were you I would take the position that gives you the most time outside of work to get you to your ultimate end game. I quit and took another position in finance. I shit you not, I learned more in the first 3 weeks than I did my entire stint at B4. Plus I make more money, have more time, and actually enjoy what I am doing. It's a shame that B4 has a way of slowly squeezing the life out of you to the point you start to hate the business all together. I felt this happening and I got out just in time.
