From Finance to MBA to CHRO
Well I've always been interested in human resources. Think management of globally located human capital, company compensation structure, talent acquisition and retention. Not answering the phone or interviewing employees.
I was curious what other people has an idea on how to pursue something along these lines. I was thinking starting out in IB or some higher level finance to build a quantitative and analytical base of experience.
Then jumping ship to F500 company finance or corporate development.
Then proceeding to a top MBA in HR and being accepted as a Director or Manager at a F500 company. That way you don't have to suffer through intolerable startingnsalairies in HR.
Also my theory is that because less able people go into HR with the majority women, while the majority if C level HR are men. So with a smaller pool of quality employees in general, easier placement and promotion.
I don't need to be super rich but even C level HR execs and Sr, VP personnel work slightly less and make lots of cash.
