GPA for Quant from Target (HYP) Program

Hello all,

I was just wondering what GPA would be good as someone from a target program for quant trading or quant software development (Princeton ORFE). I currently have a 3.5 GPA, and I don't know if this is high enough for entering Quant. I missed the BB recruiting cycle and got jaded by PWM through several coffee chats that I had with bankers in that industry. I am more interested in technology, which is why I am potentially interested in quant in particular. I have truly not made up my mind as to whether or not to enter into recruiting for either quant (or even MM firms as well), and was wondering what advice y'all could give me.

What do you mean by "quant"? I'm in a similar situation, and I've been trying to figure out what the math-y and/or intellectually stimulating (from the perspective of a math and stats heavy major) roles of finance are.
