High income remote jobs

Curious if anyone here thinks of exiting IB/other finance-related job and shift towards some sort of remote position?

Do you know anyone who has done that? What do y’all think the high income remote jobs to which you can exit from finance are?

Once met a guy while surfing in Hawaii who worked for a MM VC firm who said he spent half his time in NYC and the other half in Hawaii

That’s pretty cool, however still makes you somewhat tied to NYC I.e. say you cannot go to live in Thailand for 1 year. I guess exiting into some sort of digital entrepreneurship also works

I did a cs degree and went into IB, but ever since entering this field I have been thinking about pivoting back into some coding related job.

I would also say Product Management being a good exit route for finance, it would provide a good perspective especially if they spend a few weeks learning the basics of CRUD.

SaaS sales (like any high level sales) can absolutely crush it, but it’s a very cyclical job (as any sales role is). My wife is a SWE but I suspect some sales people at her company swing mid 6 figures ($400-600k) based on the sales they close.
