is it possible to switch field within ibank ?
Hi, everyone
I am very new to this forum and finance. Please forgive my ignorant .
Here is my situation, I graduated from a decent university with bachelor CS degree. I completed CFA level 1 and planning to to go for level 2. I do have some finance background but of course not as strong as those who graduated with finance/econ degree.
I may get a offer from an ibank in hong kong as a IT support analyst/programmer. However, I would really like to switch field for my career. I enjoy fiance more than programming. So, here is my question, is it possible to switch into finance department after I get the offer. Of course not immediately, but in the future. Will I get a higher chance to switch department ?
And one last question, what kind of entry job title I should look for if I really want to start off with a finance-related job and lead up to ibank ?
