Need some counselling for the future*
Hi, I am currently a grade 11 student in Canada. I am studying in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). At the moment, I achieve high marks in my school (Around 94-97%). I am involved in few clubs in my school. I am part of the Student Activity Council, part of the investment Club (will be an exec or other high ranking senior positions in those clubs in grade 12) Also, I am planning to run for school treasurer in march for the year of grade 12. I plan on doing a double major in accounting/finance, and breaking into ibanking or some other corporate job. The only question, I have here is what should I do to get into a ivy league or target schools in America. Also, what are some of the good schools in Canada that can accompany my goals( i know of ivey but not sure about their accounting) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take the SAT or ACT and get excellent scores.
Write good essays.
Pray.

Thanks I guess, In Canada there are limited opportunities and I don't even want to stay in Canada for the rest of my life because in all honesty it is a boring place. My Dad was planning on coming to the U.S. to teach at an American University but some problems with visa's and 9/11 made it even worse and thus stuck in Canada.
I wasn't trying to be a dick. Ivy league admissions is a crap shoot in a lot of ways. I would figure out which schools you would like to attend and get in touch with admissions there. ASAP. They are going to be able to give you the best information.
No offense, but Canada isn't exactly the worse place in the world to live. There's tons of opportunities there and lots to do. Just make the most of it.
Walkio, Its not a terrible place to live. But All my family is in the U.S. and I dont plan on staying in Canada for my entire life because to me its boring. It may be different for you because you may have your family your whole life there but for me its different. And, I know you weren't trying to be a dick, I was just sharing my opinions about why I plan to go to Ivy league or other target schools.

Also, all my courses are academic/university (like the highest possible academics) I am taking functions, adv functions, accounting, english, french, physics/chem/bio. In grade 12 I am taking grade 12 accounting, calculus and vectors, physics/chem/bio, english and french.

relax have fun dont worry about the future just work hard and go where life takes you or else youll burn out by the time ur 25. Advice get off this site untill ur 20. No one likes high school kids on here anyway(no offense) and its just going to make u worry alot.
