WSJ: Youngsters who shoplift, smoke pot may be the next Zuckerberg

Thanks to WSJ (http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2013/08/14/troubled-teens-make-more-succ…) for bringing up a National Bureau of Economic Research study which shows that troubled youngsters who shoplift, smoke pot, play hooky and get in fights may be the next Mark Zuckerberg.

"Troubled teens make more successful entrepreneurs". Amen to pot that. !

Stealing is NEVER good. I would be worried that these people will become the next Madoff. I would rather like to see Draconian laws instituted for these crimes of dishonesty. However, I would expect to see a good deal of entrepreneurs with a Churchill like personality.

Exactly. I mean, not to say that everyone who is successful by being different is a criminal, but I'd be willing to bet they do more law-breaking than most. Just makes sense. But the real skill is finding how to apply that "f-the-man" attitude to something positive and productive.

Good point, then again, breaking the law is very different from bending it or doing something like Zuckerberg did in his dorm room...
